Crocker Kingsley 2025 @Blue Line Arts

The Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition was first juried in 1940, a tradition that continues to the present day. Over the past 80 years, this prestigious show has included many premier names in American and California art, including Robert Arneson, Elmer Bischoff, Fred Dalkey, David Gilhooly, Ralph Goings, Gregory Kondos, Roland Petersen, Mel Ramos, Ruth Rippon, and Wayne Thiebaud. Works selected by this year’s juror will be on display in all 4 galleries at Blue Line Arts.

The juror for the 2025 Crocker Kingsley competition is Grace Kook-Anderson, The Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Curator of Northwest Art at the Portland Art Museum.

Exhibition Dates: January 11th to February 22nd

Opening Reception: Saturday, January 18th from 5-7pm

Gray Loft Gallery presents their third Exquisite Little Things, a captivating group show featuring small works by 30 talented Bay Area artists. This special exhibit will showcase a variety of mediums, including photography, sculpture, watercolor, painting, hand blown glass and jewelry.

The Junior Center has finally reopened after three years of extensive repairs from two fires. Join us on Saturday, September 28th at 6pm to celebrate our legacy and support our future programming.

From Ashes to Art features a curated selection of art from local contemporary artists, all graciously donated and priced under $500. Proceeds support scholarship opportunities for youth to attend our popular camps, after-school programs, and workshops. Each year our programs reach over 5,000 young people and their families and throughout the East Bay. Sliding scale is available for all our offerings, and 60% of families take advantage of the scholarships we provide.

Exhibit: Risings Seas

Will our grandkids be kayaking to school? Will we work with the underwater world to improve conditions and rebuild wetlands? Or are we on track to have rising seas cover most of Alameda?

With photos, beeswax, wood and resin, ten artists present their take on Rising Seas. From crowded freeways to healthy seaweed, this exhibit displays a range of perspectives on how climate change will affect our island.
